About the Venue

The venue is on the southern edge of the Snowdonia National Park with beautiful surroundings and local walks available, thus providing a true retreat atmosphere. It is 3 miles from the small market town of Machynlleth where there is some Bed and Breakfast accommodation. Also various Airbnb properties in the vicinity both rural and in town. A campsite is in close proximity at the end of the entrance drive.
This venue has a good variety of vegetarian and vegan food available lunch times and evenings and special diets catered for with prior notice. (No meat/fish)
There is a direct train link to Machynlleth from Birmingham International or Birmingham New Street stations every two hours.

About your Teacher: Maggie Langton
A serious illness (M.E.) over thirty years ago started me on my journey towards becoming an Integral Sound Healing Practitioner. I both used and trained in many different approaches of complementary/alternative therapies as I began to regain my health.
I have spent over 25 years delivering holistic therapies, having worked as a mental health social worker both in the community and in an inner city G.P. Surgery. During this time I studied many complementary therapies, including Counselling, Neuro-linguistic Programming, Hypnosis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Human Givens and Mindfulness. Having taken redundancy from the health service I started my own practice, and continued training in a number of 'Energy' therapies, including Emotional Freedom Technique, Energy Medicine and Kiniesiology.
I am not a singer or musician but as a result of collecting Himalayan singing bowls on trips to Nepal I wanted to learn how to play them therapeutically. Searching the internet I found Tony and before I knew it I was a student of the academy. Finally I felt I had arrived home.
Sound Healing has changed my life, as it has for many other people. It is a very gentle non-intrusive way of bringing about change and healing. Its benefits are limitless.
I have carried out sound healing group work in a corporate setting, a day centre for adults with special needs and in a nursing home for people with dementia. I have worked with individual clients, both in person and on line via Zoom. During the initial lockdown resulting from the pandemic in spring/summer 2020 I was part of a local community network of therapists offering a variety of free Zoom sessions to support the local population.
I believe that every person requires a unique approach in their sessions to bring peace and love into their lives, enabling healing.
With past experience of teaching and tutoring, I have been working as an Associate Teacher with the Academy since 2016, assessing and supporting students all over the world through our on line courses, as well as running a variety of live workshops in various venues across the UK.
I am passionate about providing training and supporting students on their journey through sound to bring much needed healing to planet Earth and all it contains.
