Teacher Profile - Maggie Langton
A serious illness nearly thirty years ago started me on my journey towards becoming an Integral Sound Healing Practitioner. I both used and trained in many different approaches of complementary/alternative therapies as I began to regain my health.
I have spent over 25 years delivering holistic therapies whilst working as a mental health social worker both in the community and in an inner city G.P. Surgery. Having taken redundancy from the health service I started my own practice, and continued training in a number of 'energy' therapies, including EFT and Kiniesiology.
I am not a singer or musician but as a result of collecting Himalayan singing bowls on trips to Nepal I wanted to learn how to play them therapeutically. Searching the internet I found Tony and before I knew it I was a student of the academy. Finally I felt I had arrived home.
Sound Healing has changed my life, as it has for many other people. It is a very gentle non-intrusive way of bringing about change and healing. Its benefits are limitless.
I now carry out sound healing group work in a day centre for adults with special needs and in a nursing home for people with dementia. I also have some limited capacity for individual clients. I believe that every person requires a unique approach in their sessions to bring peace and love into their lives, enabling healing.
With past experience of tutoring, I have for some time, been working with the Academy assessing and supporting students all over the world through our on line courses.
