About the Venue

Venue The venue is a lovely space set in the beautiful village of Medmenham, which is on the bank of the river Thames and just two miles west of the gorgeous riverside town of Marlow. The venue has step free access and is suitable for any students with mobility concerns.
Directions The venue is very easy to find on the A4155 between Marlow and Henley and it is easily accessible from London on the M4 or M40.
Parking Free parking is available very close to the venue in Ferry Lane. Any students with mobility problems can contact me regarding parking.
There are lots of lovely accommodation options for the Saturday of each weekend in Marlow, Henley or just a few miles further afield in High Wycombe or Maidenhead.
The workshop will take place over two weekends, allowing you time to consolidate the learning from the first three days before moving onto the second part of the workshop.

You will not get access to any online learning resources, zoom calls, or ongoing tutoring and support. You also are not required to do any home study or practice before or after the workshop.

About Your Teacher: Sarah Sheldon
Sarah Sheldon MA, BEd Hons, Dip Sound Healing, Clinical Hypnotherapist
I live just outside of Marlow in the beautiful Chiltern Hills. I was a schoolteacher and music teacher for over 25 years, focusing on piano, saxophone and voice. After 3 years living and teaching in Switzerland, I felt led to pursue a more healing related path. I had some hypnotherapy to help me face up to issues that had been holding me back in my personal life and I found it so effective that I decided to retrain as a clinical hypnotherapist.
This journey then led me to find sound healing. I instantly felt I had arrived at my true calling, combining my love of music with the healing aspects that are so wonderful. I gained my sound healing diploma and now my mission is to bring the life changing benefits of sound and music to as many as I can. I do this through group sessions and 1-1 work, sometimes combining this with hypnotherapy techniques. I particularly love helping clients find greater confidence, self-worth and purpose as well as working with issues relating to sleep, stress, fears, addictions and associated physical pain.
About Your Teacher: Roise O’Caollaidhe
Roise (roe-sha) is originally from Australia and her first training was in art teaching. She started her healing journey in the mid 1980s.
She studied and taught both crystal healing and subtle body harmonics (energy work). She learned and practiced meditation, yoga, and used astrology and tarot for her own personal growth. She also taught herself to play the Hammered Dulcimer, being attracted to and entranced by the harmonics of its sweet sounds.
In 1998 she did a year long intensive course in metaphysics which initiated her own intensive and transformational healing process. Of this she says, “Instead of being fraught with anxiety, guilt and fear of disapproval, I was able to let that go, and over time, become more calm, happy, and positive. It’s a continuing process.”
During the latter part of this time, in 2004 she came to live in the UK. In her search to have her Hammered Dulcimer serviced, she discovered Sound Therapy. She has studied with the Tama Do Academy, and is a qualified practitioner with the College of Sound Healing.
In 2011 Roise enrolled in the very first online course offered by the Sound Healing Academy, then called the Colour of Sound Institute.
In 2014 she began assisting the founder and principal, Tony Nec, to conduct his then regular bi-monthly workshops in Glastonbury. In 2016 she became the first Associate Teacher with the Sound Healing Academy and has been teaching with them since.
Alongside teaching Sound Healing, Roise has developed a thriving practice as a Sound Healing Practitioner.

Roise takes care of herself with mindfulness, meditation, mudras, mantras, yoga and sound.
