Sound Healing Practitioner - Louie Unkovich - New Zealand

Lou (Louie) Unkovich has been involved with sound since age 5, when he undertook classical, folk, and country guitar lessons for 5 years. From there, he developed his love for rock and blues and has been in several bands playing the pub circuits in the 1990s, as well as writing his own compositions.

In his 20s, he studied Transcendental Meditation, which he continues to practice today. Louie is also a qualified Reiki Master and finds combining this with sound during his sessions augments the healing experience.

With a deep understanding of how music affects our emotions, he attended a sound bath led by a Sound Healing Academy tutor. He described the experience as like “going through a vortex in time journeying to a place of wellness”. From this point, he knew his calling was to study this modality.

Louie also has a degree in Social Services. In his other role, he works with many individuals and families who have experienced trauma. Many have varying levels of dysfunction and come from complicated backgrounds. This allows him to approach each sound healing session with an empathetic understanding.

Louie is an Accredited Sound Healing Practitioner with The International
Sound Healing Academy. He believes that within each individual is the power to heal the “whole person”. Sound healing is a modality that can bring about this change.

Louie is passionate about supporting people to become aware of their own innate
healing ability and to awaken them to their potential.
