The curriculum for our Level 1 Foundation Certificate in Sound Healing Multi-Instrument course is outlined below.

• types of wands and beaters appropriate for use with Tibetan bowls
• playing techniques with fingers, hand, wands and beaters

• playing around the rim - how to make a bowl sing beautifully
• how to work with a Tibetan bowl off the body in the aura / biofield
• how to work with a Tibetan bowl on the body with a client lying face up

SOUND HEALING WITH CRYSTAL SINGING BOWLS

• types of crystal bowls
• types of wands appropriate for use with different types of crystal bowls
• playing techniques with fingers and wands

• playing around the rim - how to make a crystal bowl sing beautifully
• how to work with a crystal bowl off the body ito balance the biofield by nourishing depleted life-force energy and dispersing stuck / blocked energy

SOUND HEALING WITH TUNING FORKS

• types of tuning forks and activators
• how to hold, activate and play tuning forks successfully for healing
• how to work with 1 weighted tuning fork on various sounding boards of the body, including the sacrum and sternum
• how to work with 2 unweighted tuning forks off the body in the aura / biofield and close to the ears
• musical intervals - how to activate the healing qualities of the perfect 5th: peace, calm, balance & harmony

SOUND HEALING WITH GONGS

• types of gongs and mallets
• how to hold, activate and play a hand-held wing gong with a client lying on a therapy couch
• how to play a gong on a stand successfully for healing with a client lying on a therapy couch
• how to play gongs successfully for healing with a client lying on a futon mat

SOUND HEALING WITH DRUMS & OTHER PERCUSSION INSTRUMENTS

• types of drums and other percussion instruments used in sound healing 
• how to play two beat patterns with a hand-held drum that entrain the heart and brain to relax and enter altered states of consciousness
• how to play a variety of other percussion instruments for sound healing
• how to play a hand-held drum with a client lying on a therapy couch
• how to play work with a brass harmony ball and an egg shaker for grounding and rhythm

SOUND HEALING WITH YOUR VOICE

• different ways of working with your voice for healing: vocal toning and mantras
• posture and breathing
• how to release different types of vocal tones
• how to tone different vowel sounds to harmonize the 7 main chakras
• how to harmonize the chakras while toning the bija mantras on different notes (pitches)
• working with sound healing instruments such as a Tibetan bowl and tuning forks as a support to your voice

• recorded talks with slides
• audio recordings of healing sounds

A workbook guides your learning

Doing the exercises in the workbook will be your journey of discovery into the healing power of sound.

The  Workbook is divided into three sections:

1. Developing a sensitivity to sounds
2. Understanding sound healing
3. Practicing sound healing

You are supported in your learning journey by live coaching and mentoring:

2 x 1 hour interactive group sessions with Tony Nec, the Principal of the Sound Healing Academy, in our online global classroom

1 x 30 minute personal session with an experienced sound healer, qualified with the Sound Healing Academy, by phone, Skype or similar social media.

This course helps you to build the knowledge, skills and confidence to work with a variety of sound healing instruments to help yourself and others in your life that you care about: your family and friends. 

It also lays a solid foundation for you to work professionally with healing sounds for individual 1-2-1 clients and for groups, for example giving sound baths.
