About Inga
Inga is a fully qualified sound practitioner and healer, offering both one-to-one and group work. She received her professional certification from the Sound Healing Academy and is an active contributor to the growing field of sound healing in Melbourne, where she facilitates deeply attuned, voice- and sound-based experiences.
Alongside her private practice, Inga works with Pink Rooster, a leading charitable organisation delivering music and creative arts programs to individuals and groups living with dementia, mental health challenges, and physical barriers. This work has strongly informed her compassionate, inclusive approach to sound healing in Melbourne, particularly within therapeutic and community-based settings.
Inga has undertaken extensive specialist training, including gong workshops with gong master Sheila Whittaker and overtone singing workshops with renowned practitioner Jill Purce. She has studied Biofield Tuning Levels 1 and 2 with Eileen McKusick, as well as Reiki Levels 1 and 2 and tarot. These diverse modalities strongly influence her work within sound healing courses in Melbourne, offering students and clients a multi-layered understanding of vibration, voice, and energy.
With a strong academic foundation in music, Inga studied contemporary music, majoring in voice, and received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours. Through an arts council grant, she also studied the traditional Yoik singing style of Sami-land — an ancestral vocal practice that channels a deep sense of place, people, and spirit. This lineage-based vocal work informs her unique contribution to sound healing in Melbourne, particularly in voice-led and meditation-based practices.
Her interests also extend into shamanic traditions. Inga has completed courses with Foundation for Shamanic Studies and The Four Winds, further enriching the ceremonial and intentional dimensions of her sound work.
Inga is one half of the musical duo Täyu, which released the album Incantation in 2020, alongside guitarist Mark, who also provides IT, video, and audio support for the Sound Healing Academy. In this creative context, Inga works under the name Myriad.
Bringing together voice, sound, meditation, and ritual, Inga creates immersive experiences that explore the transformative effects of sound on the body, mind, soul, and spirit. Her work sits at the intersection of ancient healing practices and modern research, reflecting the exciting way sound healing in Melbourne is increasingly being recognised within science and medicine. She also contributes to teaching and assisting in professional sound healing courses in Melbourne, supporting students on both personal and practitioner pathways, including those enrolling in a sound healing course in Melbourne for the first time.
