About Natalie

Composer, educator, sound healer, and multi-instrumentalist Natalie Brown has travelled the world performing, recording, and teaching music.

Classically trained, Natalie began violin at the age of four and went on to teach high school orchestra for 14 years. She is the founder and director of Sounds Heal Studio, where she offers one-to-one and group sessions, workshops, and practitioner training through the International Sound Healing Academy. Through this work, she provides sound healing in Iowa, supporting individuals and groups in using sound for wellbeing and transformation.

Natalie completed Nada Yoga (Yoga of Sound) teacher training in Rishikesh, India, and also holds training and certifications in Reiki, craniosacral therapy, Qigong, and acupressure, weaving these modalities into her holistic approach. She facilitates sound healing training in Cedar Rapids, creating accessible, grounding experiences for both beginners and seasoned practitioners.

Natalie is also the host of the Sounds Heal Podcast, which explores sound for health and wellness through interviews with leading innovators and practitioners in the field. The podcast has been recognised as the number one music therapy and sound therapy podcast on the web.

Natalie’s mission is to share the benefits of sound healing and empower others to use sound as a tool for self-care, personal growth, and healing.
